LCYB - Parent Code of Conduct
· I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.
· I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
· I will support coaches/officials working with my child, to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
· I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by being a respectful fan.
· I will ask my child to treat all players, coaches, fans and officials with respect.
· I will teach my child the rules of the game and to recognize that official's decisions are final.
· I will teach my child to be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
· I will positively encourage my child from the sidelines and let the coaches do the coaching.
· I will remember that the game is for youth, not for adults.
Player Code of Conduct
· I will learn the rules of the game and abide by them at all times.
· I will play for fun and to develop my skills.
· I will treat all players, coaches, officials and fans with respect.
· I will support my teammates and my opponents by cheering for all good plays.
· I will attend practice and games on time with proper uniform and equipment.
· I will remember it is a game, meant to be fun for all players.
Coaches Code of Conduct
· I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win.
· I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group.
· I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players.
· I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.
· I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.
· I will be knowledgeable in the rules and I will teach these rules to my players.
· I will use coaching techniques appropriate for all of the skills that I teach.
· I will remember that I am a youth sports coach and that the game is for children and not adults.
